We love sparring videos, and especially when they are narrated. In the video at the bottom of this article, Coach Zahabi flows so nice from move to move. Check it out.

Some highlights include when Zahabi pins his opponents knee when he stacks him during the pass. We love when he says your opponents will pick his poison when he is stacked.

The neck bent at 90 degrees is also a great detail when going for a guillotine choke.

Another pass he does and loves is pinning the wrist or even pinning the feet. It definitely makes it tough to mount in type of offense for the bottom guy.

When your opponent goes for a butterfly, push his knee down.

Doing the guillotine from the top, he slides his heel down and still gets the 90 degrees angle.

Check out the guillotine from side control, which is something that is rarely used. Zahabi uses his knee to support his own elbow. Again, he used that 90 degree angle to secure the top.

When he gets to the armbar position and is trying to break his opponents grip, he sneaks his toes close to his forearm and breaks that arm. However, he does lose the armbar here.

When Zahabi gets put in a guillotine, he tries to not let his opponent wrap the guard around him and also places his head on the mat. The reason is because that way, they can’t put that 90 degree bend on his neck the way he was doing earlier.
